To transform Taiwan’s previous lowered-profit model of exporting intermediate goods such as components and parts, the government began promoting the “System Integration Promotion Alliance Project” under the Executive Yuan’s guidance in 2017 with the goal of consolidating inter-agency resources to systemically obtain overseas business intelligence and linkage to major markets. In addition, due to global population growth and urbanization, smart governance has become an important topic in urban development. Under the guidance of the New Southbound Policy and Five Plus Two Industry Innovation Plan, the program actively follows business opportunities in urban development and planning from other countries to facilitate the export of high-quality solutions from Taiwan, deepening supply chain partnerships with new southbound countries. The program strives to discover a new economic drive by establishing positions on the new innovative industry supply chain and jointly developing local markets with partner countries, thus building a win-win model with new southbound countries.
